Midsummer night at Pärnu-Jaagupi: a huge photo post

I just had a super cozy getaway for a few days.

Day 2. Searching for a certain abandoned manor.
 And found it!

 A few scary steps.

 A weird corner.

We found something extremely bizarre inside a completely abandoned and crumbling manor... One of the rooms looked liked someone lived there or had just recently left: a table with tablecloth and dinnerware in a cupboard, bed with blankets and pillows, coats hanging in the coat rack... When we came here two years ago, it was all in the same order...

A very creepy clown was lying around in the room too.

Anders getting into the horror film vibe.

After getting back to the cottages we had some super tasty mojitos Krete made for us and watched horror films. I'm so glad we didn't watch Insidious before going to the abandoned manor.
Photos by me and Anders.

Rakvere trip in pictures

And here comes a colourful photo post from the first summerly trip this year. A sweet afternoon in Rakvere, lying on the grass, drinking coffee and smoking hookah. And swiftly swung by the museum later, since it was the night of museums.
I'm so hungry for summer now, all the music festivals and little trips. Probably won't be able to go on a longer trip around Europe this year, but you never know...
 Stuffing our faces with hotdogs...

Abandoned manors and mortal kombat

So, I visited three manors yesterday (two of them abandoned) with my friends... One of them was Riisipere manor - once a luxurious example of Estonian classicist architecture is now in a dreadful condition and looking for a new owner, who will have to have a lot of willpower and financial resources to help the estate regain its lost glory. We met the man who takes care of the building by chance and he let us in to take a look and snap some photos... A sad and beautiful sight. Also, Estonian pop stars Kerli and Iiris have both shot a video in the manor... our guide mentioned that the local bums always break into the estate after a video shoot is over - hoping to find some valuables left behind. There was also some trash, alcohol bottles etc inside, because young punks often break into the manor to drink and do drugs.

And then there was Leetse manor, which is completely in ruins. By the time we reached it, it had begun raining and the weather was so bleak and grey, we basically decided to cancel our planned photo shoot and take a few simple pictures instead. We had already drank Irish coffees at Padise manor café and we were in a jolly mood.
My beautiful friend Krete here:

Just before leaving we shot a silly Mortal Kombat homage scene with Krete... And no, my theatrical clothes do not reflect my outfit of the day : )
